vector digital data The lidar base .img and .las data was provided to Howard County in 2019 by USGS. Data were flown, aquired, assesed for accuracy by FUGRO USA Land Inc. in Dec 2018. Contours were produced using the .img digital surface model provided to Howard County by USGS in which breaklines were enforced from ground lidar data and processed using Global Mapper Contour Tools with minimal simplication in order to provide the least allowable simplicity of contour line and highest detail of terrain over the entire County. Self closing contours of less than 20 ft were removed. Further quality control, edits to remove intersecting contours, dissolve any overlap, and edge matching were performed using ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS desktop with the Data Reviewer Extension. The Contour data has Major Index Contour and Minor Contour Interval attribution as well as elevation of each contour line. The Contour data was subjected to quality control review by KCI Technologies using Data Reviewer and manual review by Howard County Survey Team. All LiDAR and base data were provided with appropriate metadata, aquisition, accuracy reports by FUGRO for generation of 2 ft contours. All detailed accuracy reports regarding the base data can be reviewed by request.
